Metal thefts across Cardiff and the Vale

Dear Resident

We are asking residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

There has been an increase in metal thefts over the last two weeks where post boxes and drain covers have been targeted. These thefts have a significant cost for the local authority and put members of the public and motorists at risk. Whilst the thefts have occurred across Cardiff we have also had them in Llandaff, Fairwater and in Peterston Super Ely over the last few weeks.

Please report any suspicious activities to 101 or 999 if a crime is in progress.
